Will my Access forms, reports and macros come across?

No. Your data comes across. The things you built on top of it do not.

What comes across: every table, every row, and the links between tables - where a column names another table's records, that becomes a real link.

What does not come across:

  • Forms
  • Reports
  • Macros
  • VBA
  • Queries
  • The values in calculated fields. The field itself can be created, but calculations do not compute yet, so it shows empty with a note explaining why.

This is worth knowing before you start rather than after, because once you have moved, the screens you spent years building are not there.

What happens instead. Screens and automations are rebuilt, not migrated - and rebuilding here is not what it was in Access. You describe what you want in a sentence and it is made for you. So "you lose your forms" is true and also a scarier sentence than it deserves: what you lose is the work of having built them, not the ability to have them.
